If you can't pay for it with cash then you don't need it!

Giving credit where credit is due

So I found this amazing blogger who shares the same passion of party planning as me. Her blog is http://karaspartyideas.blogspot.com/ I've spoken with her via email a couple of times now and she has been extremely helpful. She did a carnival theme party for her two boys this past June and it was amazing! I got so many great ideas from her! I like to put my own spin on things so I don't feel like I'm completely copying her. =o) Just wanted to say thanks Kara! I look forward to seeing more parties you plan!

Popcorn Cupcakes for Eli's B-day

Popcorn cupcakes would make the perfect treat at a Carnival Circus theme party or a Movie Night Party. Cakes by Jen has fun Popcorn Cupcakes that would be great for your party. Here is how she created these delicious treats:

1. Bake your cupcakes in regular cupcake liners
2. Ice the cupcakes with buttercream or frosting of your choice
3. Using scissors, snip the top of mini marshmallows twice in opposite directions to form an ‘X’.
4. Arrange the marshmallows on top of the cupcakes
5. Lightly spray the marshmallows with yellow color mist to resemble butter
6. Color red stripes on Wilton Nuts & Party Cups and attach a “Popcorn” sticker to the front
7. Place the finished Popcorn Cupcake with liner into the party cups.
8. Enjoy!

Eli's Birthday Ideas

Although Eli's second birthday is two months away I'm already planning his birthday, it's what I love to do! This year's theme is Circus Carnival and I've already got most of it planned in my head. This year we're going to Puerto Rico around his birthday so I'm starting early so I don't have the stress of a trip and birthday so close together. Wish me luck!

Always say please and thank you, those are two words that you should always use. It shows your mother raised you right.

Getting Old

It's official! I'm getting old and feeling it! Gone are the days where I could touch my toes and have my chest flat to the floor, do a split, and a back bend in the blink of an eye. Yes...believe it or not I was a gymnast, I know hard to believe. I was no Mary Lou but I was in shape and could do a number of flexible things. Today, I was just walking in Target and all of a sudden my hip started to ache! What the hell, I'm only 31! I mean ache so bad that every step I took brought tears to my eyes. This came from no where, I wasn't lifting anything, I didn't fall, and I surely didn't run a marathon so I can't explain it. I took some Aleve which my dad swears by so hopefully it will help but right now I just want to curl up and cry! =o) Stay tuned for more aches and pains due to aging.

Is trying to create this blog site but do I really have enough to talk about? I'm wondering if I'm really that interesting or if this is just going to be a big waste of time. I guess I won't know unless I just jump in and do it. =o)
