I so try to live by this adage. Thanks for your comment on my post about The Painted Cottage. The prices were so-so. I didn't dare look at the prices on furniture knowing that I might fall in love and we couldn't get it home. I really like the shop for inspiration, but I did buy a table cloth that I'm using for inspiration for our screen porch makeover.
BTW, we're in Raleigh too. Have fun at the beach! Definitely eat at the Sugar Shack if you are in OIB or Sunset Beach. Yummy, yummy!

I'm pregnant with my third and decided I'm all about furnishing the babies room with older furniture that I'd like to refinish. I'm a bit handy myself (maybe not as much as you) so I enjoy making old things new again. I love your site btw! I will definitely check out the Sugar Shack! I'm really terrible at this blogging thing but want to get better. I'd love to sit down and make my page pretty like so many bloggers. I know I could fill it up with my crafty things but don't know where to start. Any suggestions? =o)
